How do I top up my Cashplus prepaid card?

Some FREE ways to top up your Cashplus prepaid card:

You need a Total Access account before you can top up using a bank, or by wages payment. With a Payroll Access account, your employer will be able to pay your salary into your account.

How much can I top up per day?

The minimum amount you’ll need to top up your Cashplus prepaid MasterCard card is £10.00.

With a Total Access account, the maximum amount per day that you can top up is £5,000 up to your £5,000 maximum balance limit.

If you have an Express Access account, the maximum that you can top up within 12 months is £2,000. After that you’ll need to upgrade your prepaid MasterCard card before you top up again.

How long will my top up take to appear in my account?

It depends on how you top up your account:

Funds should be available the same business day if top up payment is received before 3:30pm through any of the following banks who provide a Faster Payment Service (see the UK payments administration website for full details): Barclays, HBOS, HSBC, RBS, NatWest, Lloyds TSB, Alliance & Leicester, Co-operative Bank, National Australia Bank, Clydesdale, Danske, Nationwide, Santander. If the top up payment is received after 3:30pm from a bank with a Faster Payments Service, the money will be loaded the next day. We will text to confirm when funds are available.

Exceptions

If your bank doesn't use the Faster Payments Service, or the money is sent via BACs, it should arrive on the third working day. Once we receive the money, we'll get it into your account and available to spend the same date it arrives.

Top ups by bank transfer, standing order or wage deposit are not available without Total Access. If you have Payroll Access, your employer may be able to pay wages too.

How will I know when a top up is available on my account?

You will receive a text message when you top up by wage deposit, standing order, bank transfer or at a Post Office® branch. Updating your mobile number is easy in the Cashplus Members Area.

A top up hasn't reached my Cashplus account, what should I do?

We’ll send you a text message when your payment reaches us, if you’ve topped up by bank transfer, through the Post Office or by a wages payment.

Can I set up Direct Debits using my Cashplus Sort Code and Cashplus Account Number?
