To open or upgrade a Cashplus Business Account you’ll need to provide the following documents:
If we need to verify your identity, you’ll need to provide:
1. ONE of the documents listed in column A ‘Proof of Identity’ in the table below.
If we need to verify your identity and your home address, you have two options. Either send:
1. A certified copy of your UK Driver’s Licence AND any other certified document from column A ‘Proof of Identity’
OR
2. Any certified copy of a document from column A ‘Proof of Identity’ AND any document from column B ‘Proof of Address’
Some important things to consider:

What’s a certified copy?
This is a photocopy of a document with the words ‘confirmed a true copy of the original’ added, which has then been signed, stamped and addressed with a name and contact telephone number of the certifying party.
Customers can have documents certified at one or by one of the following:
Where do I send my document(s)?

What are Total Access and Express Access?
Total Access means that we were able to verify all the legally required information that you provided in the application form. Express Access means that we need additional information before we can give you access to all the benefits of the Cashplus Business Account.
When approved for Express Access, you will have 60 days to provide acceptable documents to confirm your business or personal details. Once we’ve completed the required identification and verification checks, we can then make all the Account features available to you at no extra cost. If not, your account will need to be closed.
How can I tell which Account I have?
We let you know which access level you have by email and/or by letter when you received your Cashplus Business MasterCard®.
Alternatively, visit the Members’ Area and see if there’s an ‘Upgrade your account’ button. If there is, you currently have an Express Access Account, and you’ll need to upgrade by following the instructions provided. Or just call us and we’ll be happy to help.
What documentation do I need to provide to upgrade to Total Access?
To upgrade to a Total Access Account you’ll need to provide the documents required for your business type, see the appropriate section above.
Why should I upgrade?
Until the required verification is completed, we need to restrict several of your account features and services.
Once you»ve upgraded your account, you can enjoy many additional benefits, including higher limits, and the ability to make bank transfers and set up Direct Debits.

What happens if I don’t upgrade my account?
If you don’t upgrade your account within 60 days of opening your account will be closed. (only applicable to accounts opened on or after 22/04/2013)
Please remember to enclose a quick covering letter that includes your Application Number (this was confirmed to you by email after you applied) or your card or Account number if you’re already a customer. Then please check that you send original documents or certified copies as shown above.
