Paying money in and out of your Cashplus Business Account is easy, but if you need help, here are some of the common queries we've been asked:

How can I pay money into my account?

You can pay your business funds into your Cashplus Account for free with one of the following two methods:

Via bank transfer:

Using cash:

Please note: if you have an Express Access account, you'll need to upgrade your account first before you can make or receive bank transfers.

How much can I pay in?

The minimum amount you'll need to pay-in to your Cashplus Business Account is £10.00.

The maximum amount per day that you can pay-in is £15,000 up to your £15,000 maximum balance limit. This varies by paying in method, so please check the table below.

If you have an Express Access Account, you'll have 60 days to upgrade your Cashplus Business Account or we'll need to close your account1.

How long will it take for a deposit to appear in my account?

It depends on how you top up your account:

For top up payments we receive before 3:30pm (Monday–Friday), the money will be paid in the same day. For top up payments we receive after 3:30pm, any payment made over the weekend or on a bank holiday, the money will be paid in the next business day. We'll text you to confirm when your funds are available.

Exceptions

If the money is sent via BACs, it should arrive on the third working day.

Inbound bank transfers and Standing Orders can only be received if you have a Total Access Account. Find out how to upgrade to a Total Access Account.

Will I be notified when a payment has been received on my account?

You'll receive a text message within the hour of the funds reaching your account when you pay-in by bank transfer, Standing Order or at a Post Office® branch. Updating your mobile number is easy in the Cashplus Members' Area.

A payment hasn't reached my Cashplus Account. What should I do?

We'll send you a text message when your payment reaches us via bank transfer or via the Post Office®.

If you believe a payment hasn't reached your account within the timeframes shown above, have your card to hand, the payment amount, payment reference and the date the payment was made. Then either:

Where can I find my Cashplus Sort Code and Account Number?

Your Sort Code is 08-71-99 and your Account Number can be found in the Members' Area on the 'Account Details' page.

Can I set up Direct Debits using my Cashplus Sort Code and Cashplus Account Number?

Yes, and even better it's free of charge! When setting up Direct Debits to be paid from your Cashplus Account, please use the following details:

Please note that to take advantage of our Direct Debit service, you must have a Total Access Account, so if you have an Express Access Account, you'll need to upgrade within 60 days of your application start date, or we'll be obliged to close your account1.

How can I make payments out of my Cashplus Account?

You can make free outbound electronic transfers from your Cashplus Business Account to any UK bank account via the 'Payments and Transfers' facility in our online account management system called the Members' Area, using Standing Orders or one-off electronic transfers for free. Note: the registration process for this service takes two working days.

How do I sign up to make outbound payments?

To register to make outbound electronic transfers, simply login to the Members' Area and select the Payments and Transfers option on the left hand side.

Once you've completed the registration process, you'll then be able to set up payees and start making electronic transfers for free.

How long will an outbound payment take to be received?

We now provide outbound same day faster payments, so as long as the transaction is set up to be actioned before 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), the payment should appear in the recipient's account the same day.
