We’re committed to making our web site as accessible as possible and we support the Web Accessibility Initiative.
We regularly review and update our site to ensure that it meets the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C, the web’s governing body) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Accessibility Guidelines
The WCAG is a set of guidelines designed to ensure that web sites are designed and written so that:
- You can use the Cashplus site without a mouse
- Text can be resized according to user preference
- Visual presentation is defined in ‘style sheets’ and isn’t embedded in the pages
- Headings are correctly used to work with screen readers
- Colour contrast between foreground and background is sufficiently strong
- Images have alternative text (so if you can‘t see the image you can still understand what it contains).
- Links are informative so there aren’t any links that say "Click here"
Using the Cashplus site without a mouse
The Cashplus site can be used without a mouse. Each page link on the main navigation menu can be accessed with its own Access Key. These shortcuts can be used with simple keyboard or voice commands (if you have the appropriate software).
If you use the Windows operating system, you can hold down the ALT key (‘Ctrl’+‘Alt‘ if using Safari) and then press the number that’s associated with that page link. So to access the Home Page, you would press ‘ALT’ and the number ‘1’. If this doesn‘t take you to the page, you may have to press the ‘ENTER‘ key as well. If you have a Mac, you can use the Access Keys by holding down ‘Ctrl’ and pressing a number key (‘Ctrl’+‘Alt’ if using Safari).

Changing the text size
You can change the text size on our site to make it either larger or smaller using your browser settings. Some browsers allow you to magnify the whole page.
You can change the text size via your browser settings by following the step by step instructions for the type of browser you have below:
Internet Explorer
- Click ‘View’ to open the View menu or press ‘Alt’ and ‘V’
- Select the ‘Text Size’ option or select by pressing ‘X’
- Choose your preferred text size using the up and down arrow keys
- Click to select the text size or press ‘Enter’
- The text size on the Cashplus site should change to reflect your choice
Firefox
- Click ‘View’ to open the View menu or press ‘Alt’ and ‘V’
- Select the ‘Zoom’ option or select by pressing ‘Z’
- Select ‘Zoom in’ or ‘Zoom out’
- The text on the Cashplus site should change to reflect your choice
- Alternatively you can also complete steps 1-4 by Zooming in using ‘CTRL’ and ‘+’, Zooming out using ‘CTRL’ and ‘–’ and resetting the zoom by using ‘CTRL’ and ‘0’
Safari
- Click ‘View’ to open the View menu or press ‘Alt’ and ‘V’
- Select the ‘Zoom in’ option or select by pressing ‘Z’
- Select the ‘Zoom out’ option or select by pressing ‘M’
- The text on the Cashplus site should change to reflect your choice
- Alternatively you can also complete steps 1-4 by Zooming in using ‘CTRL’ and ‘+’, Zooming out using ‘CTRL’ and ‘-’ and resetting the zoom by using ‘CTRL’ and ‘0’
Visual presentation
The Cashplus web site uses cascading style sheets for presentation. This means that you‘re able to override the site’s colours by changing your browser settings.
Consistent page headings and titles
A consistent heading structure has been used so that page information is compatible with screen readers.
Contrasting colours
We’ve taken care to ensure that foreground and background colours on the Cashplus site contrast effectively.
Alternative text for graphics
All graphics and images contain descriptive alt tag attributes (alternative text). Where an image has no importance, the alt tag is set to null to make the Cashplus site easier to read.
Descriptive links
All links within the Cashplus site have been written to make sense when taken out of context. Where appropriate, we’ve also added information to let you know if the link will open a new window or if additional software is required to be able to view something.
